Well, I've got some teaching experience under my belt. We'll see what you think.

[She hesitates for a moment, almost worried to give out too much information, but then she internally scolds herself. Really, what does she think Five would do to Héctor? Héctor is the most un-threatening of all her friends, and Five doesn't hurt people without reason. Five especially doesn't hurt people who don't pose any kind of physical threat to him. (She hopes not. If he does, that would be... something to think about.)]

His name is Héctor. You might have met him at the party. He's the man with wings and he plays guitar. He died in the 1920s, and he has wings now because he's been taking redemption very seriously.

I think you'd like him. He's... softer than most of us are used to. It's nice. [The Five she remembers has little patience for people who don't keep up with him intellectually, but she thinks after everything they've been through, they can all appreciate a person with no sharp edges to tiptoe around. Plus, Héctor has charm, and he's been kind to Vanya, his cheerful and warm tunes balancing out her melancholic melodies. She hopes that is enough to endear him to Five.]

[ he gives her a small smile. he's already going into this thinking she'll be a fine teacher. it certainly helps matters that he respects her enough to actually listen to what she's trying to teach him. also when it comes to music, he's not the smartest person in the room and he knows that. and if he decides at any point that he no longer knows that? well, she's pretty decent at dealing with him.

five watches vanya as he waits for her to answer, wondering if maybe it'll end up being like the one who helped her with her powers, and she won't actually tell him who it is. except that this won't tell him who to go to if he decides to try to get more information about her powers. this is just the name of someone who's been good to his sister. five won't do anything, except maybe seek him out. (if he were to hurt héctor, or anyone who poses no physical threat to him or his siblings, five would have a lot to think about. the things that five does, he does for a reason. if that reason suddenly disappeared but the acts remained? there might be a bigger issue to look at) ]

Héctor. Yeah, I did meet him actually. [ well, he will meet him ] So the wings are a sign of redemption. Honestly, given the kinds of people I've seen here, I didn't really think much of them. But, good for him. [ five has been taking his own potential redemption, well, less seriously ]

To be fair, Vanya, a lot of people are softer than we're used to. I think I would like to get to know him more though. [ the five she remembers is much the same as the five she's currently getting to know again. he still loses patience with people quickly, but the fact that héctor's been kind to his sister, and the fact that he's unlike (in a good way) than anyone else in five's life, could make the difference.

just having someone to not have to tiptoe around could be so refreshing ]
